Review the articles in the COVID-19 and Health Equity (General) section below. You may need to select specific articles that you are most interested in due to time restrictions.

Think about the following questions:
1. Thinking from a structural competency perspective, what ideas did this reading give you for what you can do to combat health disparities, especially during a public health crisis like the COVID-19 pandemic?

2. Why should we be concerned about health inequities/disparities during the COVID-19 pandemic?

1. What unique issues do physicians and community members face in addressing COVID-19 on Navajo Nation?

3. What structurally competent interventions or practices might be useful beyond the COVID-19 pandemic to address longstanding issues of health inequity on Navajo Nation?
