Above is a sample block schedule for all three years of the residency. You will notice that each academic year is broken up into 13 four week blocks. Each resident maintains his/her own continuity clinic in all of the rotations with the exception of inpatient pediatrics and any away electives. Due to the longitudinal and integrated aspect of several of the education experiences the residents receive a very strong exposure to Ambulatory Medicine, Behavioral Medicine, and Hospital Medicine throughout their residency. The next greatest exposure is on the Family Medicine Service (FMS) where each resident will rotate 11 months including night float. On the FMS service the resident will be exposed to Emergency Medicine, Adult Medicine, Critical Care, and Pediatrics. Look to our curriculum for details for each rotation.
